Thursday 10/28 -met Big Ring Bob in the Catskills while he was on his 4th day riding out towards San Diego. Discussed lots of the trip details over dinner. The next morning I packed up and set off with my bike fully loaded with everything needed for the actual San Diego to Washington D/C trip that will start in January. Bob is easy going and a strong rider. He's averaged 100 miles per day towing his 60-70lb trailer. I just hope he doesn't get sick of riding by the time he reaches California in January!
